Morning friends!
Still integrating the BIG LOVE that was my birthday/book release party. People flew in from all over to celebrate. There was champagne and a wood-fired pizza truck. There was soft serve on tap and an appreciation station where my friend Sherry gathered love notes. There were streamers and rose petals, toasts and cake. I signed books and took photos jumping in the air with balloons. 🎈
My mentors were there and my dearest friends. My kids were there, beaming at me.
“It feels like a wedding!” they all kept saying. “I was thinking the same!” I replied. “But this time I’m marrying myself!” 😂💕
We gathered at a magical place called Straus Home Ranch where my dear friend Michael grew up – an old dairy farm renovated and gussied up into a gorgeous wedding and event venue. From the moment he said, “You should have your party here!” My imagination began filling the beautiful barn with all the people I love most.
One of my favorite quotes is from Mary Oliver: “When it’s over, I want to say: all my life I was a bride married to amazement. I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.” Well, I think it’s official now! ❤️
