“If you never want to see the face of hell, when you come home from work every night, dance with your kitchen towel, and if you’re worried about waking up your family, take off your shoes.”
– Rabbi Nahman of Bratslav
I’ve been receiving your time capsule essays in the mail and they are so inspiring! Keep em’ coming…
Oh, thanks for reminding me, Andrea. I’ve been carrying my 4 page Summer Intentions (time capsule) around in my purse for a month. Everyday, thinking it’s the day I’m going to mail it. Guess what’s on it ….procrastinate less!
Cheers.
Eileen
Yes, thanks for the reminder. I’ve been wanting to write mine since your first post, and hadn’t gotten around to it, so I’m glad to hear you’re still taking them, and I think it would be a fun project for this weekend, which is all *about* summer!
How fun to be sharing in people’s hopes and dreams. It’s like you get to be a part of it all.
I have a question totally off subject. I know you’re a Ben Harper fan and I don’t know any of his music but he seems to keep showing up in my life…first through you, then at a wedding I attended, then last night on a tv commercial. I wanted to check out his music. Do you have any special recommendations? I looked on Amazon.com and there are several to choose from. Is there any one that is your absolute favorite? Thanks!
The image of dancing with the kitchen towels just made me smile all over!!! My first thought …was I need NEW towels… and my second thought was … the towels are not what this is about!
thank you 🙂
I would love to send you mine, but I am living in Germany and I don’t know where to get American stamps… Does anyone know another way? Or should I just consider sending some money? And is there a way to find out how much it will be?
I would sooo love to be part of this…
xxx Katrin
Andrea,
Each time I try to sit and write my time capsule essay I freeze. My pen won’t move. This exercise has me completly frozen. Any advise?
